Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 May 2026
Who we are
Difficult Conversation is a tool that helps you write hard messages and predict how the recipient might reply. It uses third-party AI models to do so. The service is operated by Devang Patel, a sole proprietor based in India. By using the service you agree to these terms.
What this is, and isn't
Difficult Conversation is a writing assistant. It is not therapy, legal advice, medical advice, or any kind of professional counsel. If you are in crisis, please contact a licensed professional or a crisis helpline. We list a few on our safety page.
Acceptable use
Don't use this service to:
- Threaten, harass, intimidate, or stalk anyone.
- Plan or carry out anything illegal.
- Impersonate someone else or misrepresent who you are.
- Try to extract our prompts, jailbreak the AI, or abuse the API.
- Resell access without permission.
We may suspend or close your account if you do.
Your content
You own what you write. You grant us a limited licence to process it (send it to AI models, store it, show it back to you) so the service can work. We won't use your conversations to train AI models, and we won't sell them.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is” with no warranty of any kind. AI output can be wrong, unhelpful, or off-tone — read every draft before you send it.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is capped at the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1000, whichever is greater.
Changes
We may update these terms. If the change is material we'll let you know. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Mumbai.
