Who runs this service

Difficult Conversation is operated by Devang Patel, a sole proprietor based in India. References to “we,” “us,” or “our” in this policy mean the proprietor.

What we collect

• The situation you describe, your clarification answers, and the messages we generate for you.
• Predicted replies and suggested responses generated by the AI.
• Account info if you sign up: email address, name, and (if you upgrade) Razorpay customer / subscription IDs.
• An anonymous session cookie (anon_session_id) so we can show you the conversation you started before you signed in.

Why we collect it

To run the product. We send your situation to an AI model so we can draft messages and predict replies. We store your conversations so you can come back to them.

Where it lives

• Database: Neon (PostgreSQL), hosted in AWS us-east-1.
• AI processing: OpenRouter, which routes requests to providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google. The text you write is sent to whichever model handles that request.
• Payments: Razorpay. We never see your card details.

How long we keep it

• Anonymous conversations — kept up to 30 days, tied to the cookie on your device.
• Account conversations — kept until you delete them or your account.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. When you do, every conversation, clarification, draft, and prediction tied to your account is permanently deleted.

What we never do

• Sell your data.
• Use your conversations to train AI models.
• Read individual conversations except for debugging — and only with your written permission.
